NO Tour Ireland

The NO, Global Tour of Santiago Sierra consists of a trip that began in July 2009 through the World. It is a large sculpture made up of the simple and forceful word "NO" that travels through various countries and continents. The sculpture is located on the bed of a truck and is 3.20 meters high by 4 meters wide and weighs half a ton. It is placed at the entrance of the museum and includes an anamorphosis painted on the floor and walls that reiterate and intensify the "NO".

The artist’s "NO" traveled by sea to New York, Miami, Toronto, Hamilton, Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Livorno, Genoa, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Marseille, Montpellier, Lourdes, Madrid, Japan, and Katowice, Poland. He was part of the Performa 09 festival, visited Wall Street, the United Nations building, the Rockefeller Center, and other tourist destinations. A marble "NO" was created for the 2010 Carrara International Sculpture Biennale and will be covered with Vaseline on the day of the inauguration.

In 2017, the Studio got the honor to Manage the Tour and the Photo Reporting of NO Tour Ireland. We circled all around the Irish island (Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland) and displayed the NO in historically loaded places like Londonderry, Belfast or Dublin. We brought the NO to representative places of the States and big Corporations or Industries based in Ireland.
